“As a matter of fact…”

You made it!   Make yourself comfy. I’m not as serious as the picture above implies. That picture is like, “Beethoven” serious. I love to have a good time. As a matter of fact I just put together a new cover band called,  “Soul Burst”. Check our schedule and come to a gig. I don’t do a TON of public events so, catching us out is rare. Most people know me from either weddings or corporate through Dorsey Entertainment.

Back to the serious side.  I created an annual concert for Married folks called, “The Journey of Love”.  It’s supposed to take place every October.  Stay tuned.  I’m looking for inspiration and partners in that order to make it happen in 2012.   I’ll keep you informed.

Recently my daughter asked me to speak at her school diversity club. From that experience I have created a talk for high school and colleges called, “Every Day People“. I found that once you ‘de-humanize’ a person by name calling or labeling you can justify abusive behavior because they are no longer human in your eyes.  My talk is designed to help ‘re-humanize’ everyday people.

Also a shout out to my son, Simeon, for putting this site together. And speaking of, “Shout”, Is your High School in need of an amazing assembly that teaches the principals of working together for a common goal while having a blast? Check it OOOUUUTT.
