Worship Concert

I describe worship (noun) as resigning ourselves completely to the will of another.  In the case of Christian worship that complete resignation of our will is reserved solely for the historical Jesus.  Believers of the bible are told by Jesus himself that He is the only door to our heavenly dad.   Preposterous, it would seem, except for the fact that our father said, “I Approve this message”, by raising Him from the dead.   This one fact (the ressurection) is what we christians base our faith on.  Therefore, since we (christians) believe that He was raised from the dead never to die again we,  fortunately,  have a daily walking, talking relationship with Him even now through the Holy Spirit.  This open connection with the living God IS heaven on earth.

What can you expect at a Tim Dorsey Concert?

1.)  Well, first of all it won’t take long. Tim has found that people will enjoy and remember a focused, purposeful, uplifting presentation if it is about an hour and 15 minutes.

We know that Jesus said, “If I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me.“ With this being a Christian concert you would think it goes without saying but…

2.)  Tim’s concert will lift up Christ and not himself. The songs will flow with scripture transitions rather than the typical self-revealing artist chatter. This is because Tim believes that A.W. Tozer had it right when he said that a room full of pianos will be tuned to one another only when they are tuned to one tuning fork. Drawing on his passion to worship, he will present a combination of encouraging songs and scriptures that culminate in corporate worship.

“I would strongly recommend Tim Dorsey.  He has become a regular and a favorite at Christ the King, among special musical guests.  He comes to help lead worship at our church a few times a year, and, if it has been awhile since he has been on our schedule, people ask for him.  Tim is a gifted singer and songwriter.  His songs are sincere, passionate, and meaningful.  I have a few of his CDs, and find myself singing his songs frequently because I am drawn back to the power of his lyrics.”

“Aside from his musical talents, Tim is professional and prepared.  He is friendly and easy to work with and will be flexible about working with you to accommodate your needs for your event or worship.  Tim’s talent will enhance any gathering.  If you have the opportunity to work with him, don’t hesitate.”
